Frequently Asked Questions
In this section of the website you can find all the essentials about the society. Does this section not contain your question? Please, contact us by e-mail.
What does it cost to join?
Joining is free since the society is totally web-based. You only need to qualify through the mentioned tests. Supervised tests are in most cases quite expensive while most of the non-supervised tests require a small fee.
What are the benefits of joining?
The benefits are that you have the opportunity to meet other people with the same mental capabilities. In normal society this could be a problem because most people have average mental capabilities. This society gives the opportunity to converse on a higher level.
Does a high IQ mean that one is more intelligent than the average person?
Yes and no. A high IQ is only a indication of the mental capabilities of a person. It does indicate roughly if a person has more capabilites then the average person but intelligence is more then only a high IQ, it is a combination of many factors like creativity, motivation etc.
You call yourself "global", but which language(s) do you speak then?
Originally the main language in the society was Spanish, but internationally seen it became English, and this is still the main language. Sometimes different languages are spoken, because most members are not native English speakers.
I have an IQ of 170 on the Cattell scale, what does that mean?
Keep in mind that different scales are used in intelligence testing. Below you can see the most common ones and what a score on the cattell scale means in comparison with other scales. Elateneo/s society uses the Stanford-Binet scale for admission, because this is generally seen the most used scale. A score of 170 on the Cattell scale would mean on other scales:
- Stanford-Binet (sd=16): IQ 147
- Wechsler (sd=15): IQ 144
